GRAY RAINBOW JOURNEY – BOOK REVIEW
Gray Rainbow Journey by K. B. Schaller is a riveting novel.
Set in Florida, this story follows a young girl named Dina as she struggles between the religion of her Native heritage and the Christian faith she was taught in Sunday School.
Marty, a friend from school days, comes back into Dina’s life and brings real conflict between her love for him and the advice she receives from her Uncle Donnie with whom she lives.
Marty’s father Jack is a powerful witch and everyone is afraid of him. Dina’s mother has disappeared and Dina begins to suspect that it has something to do with his witchcraft. Strange things happen, and Dina is haunted by owls she believes have been sent by Jack.
Dina is studying to be a nurse and cares for her diabetic uncle while she goes to school. Eventually she has to quit to take care of more important matters. Will she make the right choice for her life, or will she ruin her chances of being happy?
With a few unexpected twists and surprising turns, Dina’s life is changed along with her Uncle Donnie’s life. Will this change last?
I Won!
I was privileged to win a copy of Gray Rainbow Journey when the author, K. B. Schaller was interviewed on Elaine Stock’s blog and decided to have a contest. In 100 words or less we were to state in the comment box why we would like to read this book. Elaine chose my entry and .B. sent me the book. I picked it up out of my mailbox late last Tuesday afternoon, and I had read half of it by the time I went to bed that night. I finished it the next night.
Now I’m looking forward to reading the sequel, Journey by the Sackcloth Moon. This book continues to follow Dina’s journey to find peace and happiness.
I hope you will visit K. B.’s site and read about Gray Rainbow Journey and Journey by the Sackcloth Moon and then purchase a copy from Amazon or the Christian Book site. And check out my review of the book on K.B.’s web site and the announcement of my winning the the contest.
Thank you for visiting and reading this post. I would really appreciate your comments, too. It’s always a privilege to hear from my readers. And please tell your friends about this site as well. I would love to have some new visitors.
Have a wonderful day. Be blessed.

Good Morning Diane,
What an interesting book. I read your review and can only agree with you. There is a lot of work to be done by many of us Christian and this book sounds like it is a big help in that direction. I also read your review and will mark this book as one of my to read books.

Hi Diane,
I didn’t win the book, but I happened to meet KB online and was fascinated by the reviews I had read. I am about halfway through the book and if I didn’t have to go to sleep last night I am sure I would be finished by now. Once I got into the flow of the dialog and characters, it really became a page turner. I also highly recommend this book and look forward to the sequel.
Be Blessed,
Vince
Thanks so much for visiting, Vince. I’m glad you are enjoying the book as much as I did. I would have read right through if it hadn’t been so late at night. This old body of mine seems to need sleep once in awhile, so I have to oblige it.
I appreciate you leaving a comment.
Hi, Diane,
I would just like to add that Vince Perna operates the online music and bookstore, Rivers of Life(riveroflifecbs@earthlink.net). Great bargains in the Praise genre, with discount coupons, too. One of the few sites where I can find Native American groups such as Broken Walls performing Praise and Worship music.
And Vince, I am so happy that you are enjoying Gray Rainbow Journey!
Peace and Blessings,
