Journey by the Sackcloth Moon is the sequel to Gray Rainbow Journey by K.B. Schaller.
In Journey by the Sackcloth Moon we continue to follow Dina Youngblood journey as 
she leaves the Root and travels to Broken Bow to become a missionary.
Frightening things happen to her along the way and she finds herself in a situation from which she cannot escape. Stranded on a lonely road in the dark of night in a terrible rainstorm, someone eventually pulls up to help. But instead of taking her to the nearest gas station, this strange-looking man turns down a path into the woods to an old trailer. Is this more of Marty’s witchcraft at work?
Dina finally breaks away and arrives in Broken Arrow. Aaron, the man she fell in love with back in Bitterroot (Gray Rainbow Journey), seems to be ignoring her completely. One woman in particular tries to be friends with her, but there is something disturbing about her. Then she sees a man working at the church who strongly resembles the driver of the truck who stopped to pick her up. He seems able to appear and disappear at will. What is going on?
Aaron does approach Dina after some weeks have passed and assures her he still loves her. But what will it take to get Marty out of her system and to become Aaron’s wife? Or will this ever happen?
If you enjoyed Gray Rainbow Journey, you will love Journey by the Sackcloth Moon. This is an intense story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I was completely drawn into the story, and at times my heart would pound as if I had been running.

Journey by the Sackcloth Moon takes you at times on an emotional roller coaster ride. I loved the story and had a hard time putting it down. I didn’t have as much time to read as I did with Gray Rainbow Journey so it took a little longer, but every chance I got I had my nose in it.
K.B. Schaller is a storyteller par excellence. And for anyone who wants to understand more about the spirit world (that is, the demonic), you will come to see just how real it is when you read these two books. Parts of the Journey by the Sackcloth Moon are based on real happenings. If you are interested in learning more about the struggle Native Americans experience between the desire to follow Jesus and the pull of the Traditional ways, this is a book you should read. And you will find out just how powerful the Traditional witchcraft truly is. It takes the power of God to overcome its lure.
