NORMALCY IN THIS UNUSUAL TIME OF COVID-19

Have you been able to find any kind of normalcy through this

COVID-19 lock-down? I was beginning to wonder if anything

would be normal again until a few weeks ago.

I suddenly heard a familiar sound, but could not believe it could be what I thought it was. We were still under a stricter lock-down than we are now. I went to the window to look out, and sure enough, it was what I thought it was, and entirely unexpected.

What was it? The Ice Cream Truck! A normal summer event. The music had an almost magical effect on me. I’m sure the children were happy to see it as well. How could this possible be? With social distancing the thing we were hearing most about during this strange time, how could they sell ice cream to anyone from a truck.

I still don’t know how they do it, but I hear the truck at different times every afternoon or evening. It even drove into our apartment driveway once.

So with something so normal in summer weather, I was encouraged that not everything we knew in the world before COVID-19 is finished. Maybe there are still other things that testify to normalcy. I hope you have found something to anchor your thoughts to what we once knew as normal. It is a good feeling.

I realize this is a very small thing, but it made me so happy to hear that merry-go-round type of music coming down the street in the midst of all of the other traffic driving by.

Let me know in the comment box below if you have found something to remind you of a bit of normalcy in your life. I appreciate your comments.

Please share these thoughts with your friends and on social media.

I am so glad you chose to drop by today. Please check out some of my other posts, especially those related to COVID-19. I pray that they will encourage you and give you something uplifting to think about. May the Lord bless you and keep you safe during this time.
