You may have been wondering why I have not posted anything new for a while. I apologize for that, but I have been busy. For one thing, I have been working on preparing another book for publishing.

Last week I finally uploaded my manuscript and cover to KDP Print. There was a problem with the spine, so I fixed that and uploaded it again. No sooner had I done that than I realized I had the wrong front cover and spine. Evidently I had designed two front covers and spines to go with each, and somehow got them mixed up when I prepared my full cover PDF.

But I had to wait until the new (but wrong) upload was approved before I could make any changes. Fortunately it took less than 24 hours for that to happen and I then uploaded the right cover. It has been approved and is now published!

So, this is really an announcement of my latest book, The Lives of God’s Poor and Obscure: A Collection of Short Stories. It is now available on Amazon for purchase and in good time for Christmas shopping and giving.

A collection of short stories about a dozen people in the Bible who are mentioned but have little or no details mentioned as to their lives. Some don’t even have names, like the little servant girl of Naaman and Pilate’s wife. These stories bring these people to life, in a setting that could have been possible though there is no way to know the true story. So many well-known Biblical people have had their stories told in books and movies, but how many people have thought about what Orpah’s life was like after she left Naomi and Ruth and went back to her own family? What happened to the rich young ruler after he left Jesus? How did the dream affect Pilate’s wife and what happened to them after they left Palestine? What kind of reaction might Malchus have had after Peter cut off his ear and Jesus healed him? Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to be the sister to Jesus, one of the Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace, or the shepherds who had a host of angels announce the birth of the Messiah to them? Each of these stories has a life-lesson in it that can help us live better lives as Christians. Follow each of the twelve people through their life experiences and see how their lives were changed forever and how people of seemingly no importance in life can change the lives of others.

Check it out, then check your gift list to see who might enjoy this book as a Christmas gift this year. It would be a good choice for those who do not like or do not have enough time to read a long book. The short stories are quick reads, informative and enjoyable for anyone who loves Bible stories. Appropriate for anyone from their teens to senior years.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see what I have been up to. I hope you will take a few minutes to browse my book pages and other posts while you are here. I would love it if you would leave a comment in the box below. I really enjoy hearing from my readers.

God bless you. Have a wonder-filled week. Please come again soon and I will try to have something new for you to peruse.
